The Origin Story

A Financial Dictionary Built by Retail,
For Retail.

I grew frustrated searching for basic financial definitions, only to be met with dry, academic essays. I got tired of watching Wall Street professionals hide simple ideas behind deliberately complicated jargon.

Semino is built by an independent retail investor, for retail investors. I built the exact financial dictionary I wished I'd had when I placed my first trade.

Investing Should Be
For Everyone.

I believe financial literacy and market participation shouldn't require a high-priced ticket.

For too long, financial education was made convoluted and costly on purpose. I'm here to change that narrative.

"Everyone has the brainpower to follow the stock market. If you made it through fifth-grade math, you can do it."

— Peter Lynch, 1989

My Journey

From a curious teenager to building Semino — here's the path that got me here.

The Start

Age 15: Balance sheets instead of Pokémon cards

While other kids were trading collectible cards at school, I was already fascinated by the stock market. I attended a specialized finance high school in Bulgaria and spent recess reading company reports and picking apart balance sheets.

What started as curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong obsession with how markets actually work.

Inside the Industry

Inside the machine

I didn't just read about the markets — I worked inside them. I executed equity trades at a proprietary trading firm, ZiCapital, and analyzed financial data for private funds at Dynamo Software.

Seeing both the trading and the data side revealed a frustrating truth: the industry often makes things complicated on purpose. Dense jargon and hard-to-reach data keep everyday investors dependent on expensive professionals.

The Present

Auditing the system

I'm currently studying International Finance & Control (IFC) in the Netherlands — but instead of stopping at theory, I wanted to build something practical:

  • Finance major: focused on stock-market research and company valuation.
  • Self-taught developer: I'm building this platform from scratch so it serves retail traders exactly.

By combining finance and code, I turn complicated definitions and raw data into simple, usable tools for regular investors.

The Future

Building the ultimate financial education tool

My goal is to build the most accessible financial dictionary and learning resource for everyday investors.

I want Semino to be a clean, independent learning space: no hidden upsells, no overpriced courses, no institutional noise. Just clear, verified definitions and data to help you learn at your own pace.
